September wk 2
Third graders worked on vocal repertoire this week. We sang "America" and "This Land is Your Land". We also talked about the words and how wonderful it is to live in this free land that belongs to all of us. We also practiced reading rhythms. They really know their TA's and TiTi's!
August wk 4
Third graders sang "Welcome to the Day" to start music class. Mrs. Schoessow accompanied them on her baritone ukulele. They listened to some music by our composer of the month, John Williams, and many recognized the music as being from "Star Wars". We also discussed music room rules and talked about recorders (which if recently purchased, they will receive in a couple of weeks). We played a name game called "Up the Ladder", while keeping a steady pulse and danced to an Israeli folk song called "Agadu".
